Penerapan Pembelajaran Kooperatif Berbasis TIK untuk Memperbaiki Kualitas Pembelajaran Keanekaragaman Hayati

Abstract: This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR), with subjects 34 students of class X-C SMA YPVDP Bontang. It aims to: (1) arise the system of serving a more representative concept of biological variety so the students can be more active, (2) use ICT as learning media of biological variety, and (3) increase the quality of learning and learning result on concept of biological variety. The result of this study shows that the learning process on the concept of biological variety with the aids of ICT could increase the students’ activity and cooperative skills in their learning groups. It could also increase the students’ learning result. The increase of students’ activity and cooperative skills had influence to their learning result. In other word, there was an increase in students’ ability in receiving the lesson with the proof that the students’ learning completion was improved.

Pemanfaatan Multimedia untuk Menstimulus Imajinasi Penyusunan Kalimat Possesive Pronouns

Abstract: This study was carried out in Binakheir Islamic Elementary School on semester 2, on March-April 2008. The subjects of this study were 25 students of 1st grade. The team used Microsoft PowerPoint as a multimedia in learning possessive pronoun sentence. From the result of this study, the team found an increase of 67,5% in students’ GPA after using the multimedia. Besides that, the use of game was also proven to be able to stimulate students’ imagination in making their own sentence. It can be seen from the increase of students’ sentences, from four sentences to eight sentences.

Abstrak: Pembelajar bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa asing di Indonesia, khususnya siswa di SMP mengalami banyak kendala dalam belajar bahasa Inggris (EFL) secara formal di sekolah. Salah satu kendala yang umum dialami siswa adalah mengungkapkan ide dan gagasan dalam bahasa tulis, seperti menulis recount text. Artikel ini mengulas tentang masalah yang timbul pada saat siswa SMP menulis recount text paragraph. Ada beberapa wilayah kesulitan yang menjadi masalah pokok siswa pada saat menulis recount text paragraph. Wilayah kesulitan tersebut mencakup tata bahasa (grammar), organisasi tulisan (organization), isi (content), kosakata (vocabulary), dan masalah ejaan (spelling).

Abstract: School is an organization, which has certain goals to be achieved. Correct strategy analysis is essential in order to achieve these goals successfully. Interaction exists among students, teachers, parents and school managers within school organization. Each elements of this interaction have different goals and strategy to achieve their individual goals. Using hypothetical data we construct an agent based computer simulation to analyze interaction within school organization. Using this simulation, determine several scenarios that can optimize the outcome of school strategy.

Pemanfaatan Blog Sebagai Media Alternatif Pembelajaran Matematika Bagi Siswa SMP

Abstract: This study is a Classroom Action Research with 25 of 7th grade students of SMP Nasional KPS Balikpapan as the subjects. It was held in year academic 2007/2008. The aim is to find out the influence of the use of blog as media in learning mathematics, towards the increase of students’ Grade Point Average (GPA) and motivation in learning mathematics. The result showered that learning mathematics with the aid of blog could increase students GPA and motivation. Besides, the higher intensity of the blog use, the more increase of students’ GPA and motivation in learning mathematics.

The aim of this study are to find out the role of forest conservation model towards cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities of students in SMP Negeri 1 Balikpapan, and to give a real experiment that can arouse students’ activities in learning process, so that the teaching learning process could be impressive and varied.

Abstract: The research aims to identify teachers’ problems and needs in the application of Curriculum 2006 particularly those related to constructive, contextual and cooperative approach. The data gotten are qualitative, i.e. descriptions of Syllabus and Learning Design, learning activities in classes, feedback from questionnaires and topics resulted from focused group discussion. The data are collected from taking sample of syllabus and learning design, recording class activities, completing questionnaires and focused group discussions. This study also discuss about the problem faced and how to solve them.

Besides, to support the understanding of educational success, the effort is also to make the students have faith, mature personality, the latest knowledge, and good achievement, so they can have good nationalism and global view. Based on the writer’s experience, one of the efforts carried out to make students get good achievement is by grouping the students based on their achievement, holding a programmed, integrated learning both in group and individual, and motivating students by giving reward.

Pemanfaatan dan Pengembangan Media Presentasi Pembelajaran Geografi

Abstract: This study is aimed at using and developing the media of learning presentation for geography in SMP Nasional KPS Balikpapan year academic 2007/2008. It is a classroom action research and the subjects were the students of classes 7-1 and 7-2. The data collecting was carried out by having observation, interview, documentary, and questionnaire. The data analysis used referred to the steps of data analysis Miles and Huberman, which is continue, repeated and continuous, that include data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of this study shows that the usage and development of media of learning presentation for geography is suitable with the characteristics of basic competition, students, time allotment for learning process, and the equipment of ICT media is available to support the learning process. This surely will improve and motivate the teacher to be creative in presenting a fun, meaningful, and easy-to-understand lesson so the students’ achievement can improve.
